DRUSGTORE MAKE UP MUST HAVES!

Disclaimer: all products have been used by yours truly for months to years. None are sponsored by any of the said brand company.

As a student who's always on a budget, buying make up can be tricky for me. Like any other product we put on our face, we will never know which skincare or beauty product will work and not work for us. Years of discovering new and different drugstore make up, fortunately, made me discover which works according to what they claim.

Base
Primer. This product is pretty much the base of your make up routine. A good primer can change everything in a snap of a finger. As a person who has an oily skin, oil gunk and make up tend to gather around my T-zone and separate. A primer's job is supposed to stop this from happening by holding your products in tact.

See the difference with and without the primer.

Maybelline's Master Prime Blur + Illuminate 200 helps me with keeping my make up in place--plus it blurs imperfections, smoothes skin for further make up application, and offers a non-oily formula.

Foundation. Another product from Maybelline (and one more to come, haha) have made the list! I hate to be bias (I haven't actually tried all drugstore foundations there is), but this is a holy grail for me. I have repurchased bottles and bottles of Maybelline's Fit me! Matte + Poreless foundation.

This is a buildable foundation that offers medium to heavy coverage. It doesn't dry up quickly and it does live up to its claim.

Concealer. Okay, now you can call me bias, but with concealer, I've trusted my all time fave Fit me! Concealers. Like the said foundation above, I have used mine a ton and have repurchased quite a few times. It it very good with highlighting your under eye, forehead, nose bridge, and chin for that contour effect we love!

Powder

Baking powder. Baking is a recent  - like weeks-to-months recent - discovery for me. In addition to the primer's claim, baking can set your make-up in place for a finish presentation and reduces (if not completely gone) creasing lines and oil build up as it mattifies your face.

Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder was introduced to me by two of the YouTube beauty gurus, Tati and PatrickStarrr.

Contour kit. I stopped using bronzers as soon as I heard and learned of contouring. Contouring can highlight points on your faces that you've always wanted to enhance. If you have a circle shaped face, you can always make shadows by contouring your faces on each side of your face. But if your want to enhance your cheekbones, you can always follow what majority of the people do.

Wet n wild's Megaglo Contouring Palette Contour have been helping me out with this task.

Blush. Don't get me started with this! Ugh. I have never ever thought that Elf's Blush Palette in Dark will become a fave in my life! I am not heavy on blush. Everything I've used before this blush quad have either been so faint on my face or it never really just made an impact on my blush game. Fortunately, this one has.
This palette offers four different pigmented blushes that can be used from a casual make up to a girl's night out.

Eyes and lips are a tad bit tricky for me. I did try drugstore products for my eye and lip products, but none I've been using recently. I tend to stick to my Dipbrow Pomade from Anastasia Beverly Hills - and recently my Colourpop brow pencil. Mascaras are not much of a big hit for me - although I use It! Cosmetics' Hello Lashes! every now and then. I loved Maybelline's Matte/Mat lipstick collections as well as Milani's Liquid Lip Cremes. I would love to try new ones, so recommendations are appreciated!
